What-If Portfolio

News / Updates

Our portfolio has been updated to include performance vs the benchmark on a time-series chart.

Also next Tuesday, we will be having an in-depth discussion about our investment decision-making process as an organization along with any additional changes we would like to make to our portfolio before the end of the semester.

(The trades we proposed from our last couple meetings are currently being processed and are not reflected in the current portfolio. I have created a what-if portfolio though that we will be able to use for the sake of discussion on Tuesday so bring any ideas you have about asset allocation, sector changes, or position changes.)

Portfolio Performance

Last week, SMIF's portfolio out-performed the benchmark by 48 bps. Both our equity and fixed income sections beat their benchmarks. Equity performance was led by FDX +4.63% and MSFT +5.17%, while fixed income was led by EMB +1.56%.

(Performance attribution will be discussed in our next meeting)
